I was very pleased with the conduct in the meeting to decide the future of the bottom shop. It was a pleasure to facilitate a discussion with a group who live out the command in 1 John 1:7 to love one another.

The glazier is planning to install the new windows in the week 14-18   December. The downpipes have to be replaced at the same time and the plumber has informed us that the gutters are rusted and will also have to be replaced.

I have been reading Wolfgang Simson's "The House Church Book" and I like his picture of the five gifts in Ephesians 4. "For a hands-on picture let us compare the fivefold ministry to the five fingers on a hand. The   apostle is the thumb; he gives stability', holds the counterbalance, and can literally touch all the other fingers. The prophet is the index finger; he points at you and says, "You are the man (or woman)!" The evangelist is the middle finger, the longest of all, sticking farthest out into the world.  The ring finger resembles the pastor/shepherd, caring for internal         relationships. The little finger is the teacher, he can worm his way deep into any ear, and share the truth of the gospel."
